The programs of the JNRC are entirely dependent on donations. St. Paul’s pays all operational/overhead costs (i.e. salary of Coordinator of Refugee Services, maintenance and upkeep of bathroom facilities and space, etc.). Therefore, all donations–financial or in-kind go directly to serving the guests in the center. Examples of in-kind donations or material support include: gifts of food, clothing, educational resources or toiletries.
In the past, the JNRC has received gifts from the United Thank Offering and Episcopal Relief and Development (the former Presiding Bishop’s Fund). These gifts helped continue the daily operations and programs of the JNRC, while also subsidizing a new kitchen and modernizing bathroom facilities.
