INTERNSHIPS AT THE JNRC

We encourage applications for internships at the JNRC for 2024 now!

Please send a CV and Cover Letter to our HR manager with a start date and end date for when you want to intern.

We welcome interns from all over the world. Internships are usually embedded within a study program. JNRC offers insight to the work of an NGO working on the ground and can suit a vast range of disciplines and degrees including psychology, sociology, or international relations.

In order to keep operations in our Center running as smoothly as possible, we ask interns to commit to working to a specific schedule, for a minimum of six months. We ask this because training and orienting new interns takes up a large chunk of staff time and effort.

Additionally, we request interns to be at least 18 years of age, preferably with some experience in the area they want to work in. Interns must also understand that we leave personal politics and religion at the door and serve all in a spirit of peace.

The JNRC cannot pay for visas, accommodation, travel or other living expenses and is unable to issue guarantee letters for paperwork.

My experience opened my eyes to the hardships that thousands of migrants face when fleeing their home countries, as well as the positive differences people can make in other’s lives. I never thought that at the end of my four months I would not want to leave the center.
